Each furniture piece is built to order. After receiving your order, we build your piece to your dimensions and preferred hardwood. Your piece will be crafted from start to finish by one of our talented woodworkers.
Out of respect for the tree, instead of stain, each product is hand finished with a premium blend of linseed oil & beeswax. This brings out the natural hue of the hardwood while still protecting the wood from water or stains. Dining tables receive matte polyurethane to keep the wood perfect for decades.
When your piece is finished, we will send curated, high resolution photos of it before it is packed and shipped. All products are designed for the average person to easily assemble in less than 10 minutes. You'll receive step by step instructions as well as a link to an assembly video.

24 billion pounds of furniture is thrown away every year in the US alone.
Poor quality products either don’t last or are replaced to keep up with trendy aesthetics.
Part of our founding mission is to design timeless pieces that will never look dated and then build them to last generations.
In short, we build tomorrow's heirlooms. Pieces worthy of being passed down.
How It Started
The Iron Roots Designs began in a garage in 2012 when Phillip Stone began to design and build ideas one at a time. His perspective on design is all self taught, and the pieces he made were things that he wanted to make to express who he is: for others to understand him better through what he made.
Years later, now an established woodworking design studio, it is still our goal to build you pieces that help you express who you are. Unique, but familiar. Like when you meet someone that you feel you've already known your whole life.

We hope that our work can be the favorite piece in your home.
Built the long way in the lost art of handmade craft.
Our Ideas Don't Just Live in a Catalog.
Our collection is a starting point, not a limit. The Iron Roots Designs is a space where new forms can take shape through dialogue, vision, and craftsmanship. If you have an idea, we have the hands to make it real.

Share your vision with us.
